Meeting #3 was full of compliments and smiles. In today's meeting students brainstormed what kindness means to them. Our grade 4/5 students were asked to finish the sentence "kindness is..."
Here are some of their wonderful responses: Kindness is...

Meeting #2 just happened to fall on a very important day...Pink Shirt Day! For those of you who don't know, Pink Shirt Day is a reminder to practice kindness and symbolizes a stand against bullying. Our Kindness Ninjas wore pink, and encouraged kindness throughout the entire day.
During our club meeting the grade 1, 2 and 3 students reflected on simple acts of kindness that they wanted to execute throughout the week. These included: smiling at everyone they saw, sharing compliments, making cards and helping their friends. The Kindness Ninjas were also assigned their challenge for the day. Students carefully decorated kindness bookmarks to hide in their classroom libraries. Following this, students stealthily placed the bookmarks inside their classroom books for other students to find and enjoy. #BeKindAlways Meeting #1 and WOW, what a turn out!
Today was our first Kindness Ninja club meeting. We were absolutely blown away with how many wonderful students showed up, ready to spread kindness! Our club was so full we had to split the students into two different groups! Our Kindness Ninja's were assigned their first kindness challenge this week. Their task was to decorate and distribute a Valentine's Day card to EVERY staff member in our school. Because Valentine's Day was only 1 day away, this was no easy task. Fleetwood's Kindness Ninja's worked hard to get the job done and the feedback we received was wonderful! Staff members were very grateful for the handmade cards, and students were pleased with the turnout of their first act of kindness. Thank you Kindness Ninjas for working hard to spread kindness around our school. #BeKindAlways |
